School Age Services

School Age Services provides after care for children with special needs, ages 5-21, including those with complex medical needs who require nursing.  The program promotes life skills and social/emotional development through therapeutic recreational and educational activities.  A variety of opportunities are available including community services, and community outings that allow children to practice skills in a variety of settings.  During school breaks, all day care is provided for the students.

After School Programs

School Age Services provides care for children with disabilities after school, during school breaks and during the summer months.  The programs provide an enriching learning experience for the students.

Summer Day Camp

Redwood’s Summer Day Camp (SDC) is a therapeutic recreation program serving school-aged children with disabilities from Northern Kentucky and Southwestern Ohio. Redwood and local school districts work together to make SDC a positive, learning place for children entering first to twelfth grades. The children who attend have diverse interests, personalities, abilities and areas of challenge. Some require on-site nursing care, special equipment, and intensive supervision (1:2, and 1:1 staff to child ratios). Most children will participate within a 1:5 ratio. Redwood’s Summer Day Camp provides the level of supervision and assistance each child needs for active involvement in camp’s daily activities.
